High-technology systems

Kongsberg Digital appointed Saltwater Stone to handle its communications strategy when it was formed as a specialist division of the KONGSBERG group in 2017. Saltwater Stone supports Kongsberg Digital with content writing, press and media relations.

Marine engines & generators

Part of the Yanmar Marine International portfolio, Netherlands-based Vetus and US distributor Vetus Maxwell appointed Saltwater in 2019 to handle product launches and ongoing PR activity.

Marina in North Cyprus

Appointed in 2012 to help promote this newly built marina, Saltwater Stone introduced Karpaz Gate Marina to the leisure marine audience and continues to handle the global PR and media communications during the next phases of development. Social media activity is undertaken for the marina and shore-side facilities across a multitude of platforms. Saltwater Stone also designed the marina brochure and handbook, and the display panels on its stand at exhibitions.

Marine Technical Services

BlueStone Group appointed Saltwater Stone in 2024 to help raise brand awareness, and support the company with a communication strategy to position it as a trusted, sustainable marine technical services provider to the global marine industry.

Boat transportation

In 2020 Peters & May selected Saltwater Stone as their global PR and marketing agency. A full-service offering of global PR, advertising and design services is supplied. Digital marketing, web hosting and design is delivered through partner supplier Semantic.

Rescue radio systems

When Ocean Signal set up their business in October 2010 they turned to Saltwater for strategic PR and marketing advice. Saltwater managed the global launch PR and continued to act as their global advisors until the company was sold to US company, ACR Electronics.

Gyro stabilization technology

As a strategic partner of current Saltwater client YANMAR, Smartgyro was first supported by Saltwater at the Genoa Boat Show 2020 as a YANMAR brand. They then approached Saltwater in 2021 as a separate entity to ask for dedicated assistance to grow brand awareness, raise the company’s profile in the marine press, maximise show attendance and handle ongoing announcements and PR activity.

Greensea IQ

Greensea Systems, Inc. initially appointed Saltwater Stone in 2021 to launch the company to various commercial maritime industries. Eighteen months later, when Greensea and its subsidiaries, Armach Robotics and Bayonet Ocean Vehicles, were merged into a single cohesive entity, Saltwater Stone was tasked with leveraging its expertise to facilitate the rebranding process, followed by communicating this significant development to industry media outlets.

Mobile satellite communications

In 2018 Inmarsat appointed Saltwater Stone to manage global PR and event activity for their leisure and superyacht business area. Alongside traditional media outreach, Saltwater has organised press and industry events at Monaco and MYBA shows. Annual and individual product advertising campaigns are designed for the superyacht and commercial market – both print and digital. Saltwater Stone continues to provide design projects.

Science & technology exhibition

Saltwater was appointed in 2017 to manage the PR and exhibitor communications for Reed Exhibitions’ global portfolio of Oceanology events. This is carried out through a combination of press releases, exhibitor-focused editorial and event attendance.

Boat dealership

Formerly known as Essex Boatyards, was a Fairline dealer in 2006 and appointed Saltwater to manage the company’s UK PR. In 2014 Saltwater Stone handled the rebrand to Saltwater Stone continues to support on an ad hoc basis.

Lifting Slings & Ratchet Tie Down Kits

Rapid Marine asked Saltwater Stone to support the draft, edit, and distribution of a new distributor announcement to industry press. Share Your News is Saltwater Stone’s offering for a one-off, quick turnaround release writing service.

Performance outboard engines

Saltwater Stone was appointed by Cox Powertrain in 2016 to manage key messaging and brand awareness for the worldwide PR campaign in support of the introduction of the new CXO300 diesel outboard engine. In 2018 Saltwater studio provided the design campaign for exhibition stands, advertising and packaging. 2018 saw the physical introduction of the outboard and the Saltwater team attended Fort Lauderdale Boat Show to manage its first appearance, which was subsequently followed by an ongoing programme of media sea trials. Saltwater Stone continues to support with PR on an ad hoc basis.

Generators & air-conditioning

In 2017 Fischer Panda was recommended to Saltwater’s services by its UK client Dometic (2008 to 2018). As UK distributor of Dometic air-conditioning systems, Fischer Panda were looking to promote its business within the leisure marine and inland waterway sectors.

Safety & survival technology

US based ACR Electronics appointed Saltwater Stone in 2015 following its purchase of Ocean Signal, a Saltwater client since 2010. Saltwater is responsible for the global PR for ACR and Ocean Signal brands and also supports the Survivors Club. With multiple new product launches every year in the leisure and commercial safety sector, Saltwater creates press releases, handles media enquiries, sources editorial opportunities, provides show support and manages award entries.

Ocean Sensors

Appointed in 2023, Saltwater Stone was engaged to prepare and manage an ongoing brand awareness strategy for NBOSI. Following a successful onboarding period, NBOSI requested the addition of a full social media management service, followed by a creation of a new visual identify through partner Stone Design.
