Our staff have in-depth knowledge of seafaring in all its forms, from sailing and leisure boating to superyachts and commercial shipping. So, whether your products relate to a specific area of the nautical world or require PR support across the board, we have the necessary understanding and experience of all sectors to develop and plan strategies to enhance your reputation and help your business prosper.

After nearly thirty years in the industry, our 16-strong team continues to evolve and grow with young graduates mentored by our more experienced professionals.

Managing Director

Founder and Managing Director Georgina Bartlett is the driver of the agency. She has amassed nearly 30 years of strategic PR experience from the broad spectrum of global client accounts. With extensive knowledge of the marine leisure and commercial media, she also heads up the agency’s media-buying team.

During more than two decades representing Saltwater Stone’s clients in Europe and the US, Karen has developed unrivalled media contacts. An accomplished professional, Karen offers strategic PR campaigns to leisure, superyacht and commercial clients, and has wide-ranging experience running marine product launches, press events and on-the-water boat tests across the globe. She has a thorough knowledge of international boat shows and spent five years working for a large marina.

Former journalist Jules joined Saltwater Stone in 2012 and manages our leisure marine clients, as well as specialising in providing print-ready content to support PR campaigns. A highly-experienced sailor, with her own boat in the Med, Jules has first-hand understanding of the market and a personal interest in marine products that helps ensure her copy is always relevant and engaging.

Account Manager

A former editor of Practical Boat Owner, David joined Saltwater Stone in 2019 and works across a portfolio of leisure and commercial PR clients. His strong technical know how is backed up by a degree in physics, an Msc in telecoms engineering and over a decade as a yachting journalist for some of the country’s best-known publications. This knowledge and experience combine to give David a clear understanding of target markets and an ability to write about complex products with clarity.

Media Buying Account Manager

Heading up the Media Buying Department, Izzi uses her in-depth knowledge of print and digital maritime publications to formulate highly effective, targeted campaigns. The media team constantly tracks and analyses the reach and effectiveness of different outlets, and Izzi makes use of this data when negotiating the most competitive prices for her clients. With strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail, Izzi is also responsible for Saltwater Stone’s event management.

Alan has almost three decades of creative design experience and an exceptional ability to capture our clients’ ethos and identity to help them engage with key markets. A firm believer that good design sells, and less is more, he produces forward-thinking, highly-crafted imagery that clearly communicates key messages and engages with target audiences. He has worked with an impressive list of marine clients and helped develop numerous new and existing brands.“Good design sells, and we believe less is more.
